The warm days in spring causes green algae to grow in size. They like warm weather in order to grow and thrive. During the springtime you can see them in the pond. Once the hot days of summer arrive scenes like this will vanish.
Green Algae
One day at a local wildlife refuge I was hiking and found this marvellous patch of green algae. Algae are simple plants ranging from microscopic (micro-algae) to large seaweeds (macro-algae). They provide the foundation for the aquatic food chain supporting the fisheries in the ocean and rivers and produce 70% of the air we breathe.
