Over 3,000 voracious mostly Mexican fans from the San Jose area cheered mightily when Mexico beat Germany 1-0 on Sunday June 17, 2018 during the 2018 World Cup watch party at Avaya Stadium in San Jose. There were 2 big screens courtesy of Avaya Stadium and San Jose Earthquakes soccer team. In addition a full bar, refreshments, and food were available. For the children there was soccer video game playing and face painting of World Cup team flags. Mexican soccer fans celebrated for the entire day.
